Design beyond existing borders: Whiskey glasses from Hering Berlin
Top designer Stefanie Hering has designed a whiskey glass for connoisseurs and fans that goes beyond existing boundaries: it combines the shape of the traditional cylindrical tumbler with elements of the elegant Glencairn or Dram. This makes this design incomparable and ensures that the aromas and flavours of different types of whiskey are optimally accentuated. The mouth-blown crystal glass looks robust but is also fragile and avant-garde in its expression. The glasses are available in the Groove, Source and Domain collections, but can easily be combined with the glass collection of other Hering Berlin collections via the unique "Mix & Match". These glasses are also ideal as rum glass.
Whiskey glass in evocative and elegant design
As in many of her collections, Stefanie Hering has developed the traditional shape of whiskey glasses into an evocative and elegant design. A further special feature is the colour variation: in addition to the transparent version "Clear", she designed a darker coloured "Smoked" version, giving the colour of whiskey or rum an unexpectedly different tone.
Cross-borders and innovation
The development of Stefanie Hering’s collections over the years has shown an ever-increasing tendency to cross borders. She makes a characteristic contribution to innovations also in the world of crystal glasses. For this whiskey glass, the designer was also intensively concerned with the requirements that glasses for exquisite beverages such as rum have to meet in order to display their contents as well as possible. To this end, she worked with crystal glass manufacturer Glashütte Theresienthal to create these glasses.

Since 1836 glassblowers, engravers, painters and craftsmen have been working to attain perfection in this highly demanding field.
